# Will I receive tax documents if I invest through an IRA or other retirement account?

If your investment is made through a self-directed IRA or other qualified retirement plan, you generally will not receive a K-1 personally, as the tax obligations fall to the retirement account. However, the custodian of your IRA may still receive documentation or filings for reporting purposes.
